There are many simulator power systems that can be used by students as a tool to carry out their final assignments. One of them is DIGSILENT Power Factory. This PF is now widely used by researchers and spread in several countries.
The features in this software are:
- Oracle based database, MS-SQL
- Can exchange data with similar software such as CIM, PSS / E, UCTE
- Can do Realtime analysis when combined with SCADA
- Has a Wind Power Generation model
Almost all students of Electrical Engineering are not familiar with this software, as a function of DIGSILENT similar to the ETAP Powerstation.
